Celina Poirier of Domaine de la Vallée, Memramcook (formerly of St-Joseph) passed away on Thursday September 8, 2016 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by her husband Robert (August 19, 2106) and by two sisters, Dorina and Eva.

Born in Pré-d’en-Haut on June 1, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Cyrille and Evéline (Auffrey) Gautreau. She worked at Librairie Acadienne at the Université de Moncton for 21 years until her retirement and was a member of the Golden Age Club of Pré-d’en-Haut. She volunteered for many years for the Liberal Association and the Handi Bus Committee.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Dorine (Claude) LeBlanc of La Montain; two sons, Paul Poirier of Montreal and Donald (Josée) Poirier of St-Joseph; four grandchildren, Janelle, Rémi, Isabelle and Jacob; four sisters, Anita (Gérard) Gautreau, Jeannine (Roger) Cormier and Maria (Francis) Gautreau of Pré-d’en-Haut and Gloria (Laurie) LeBlanc of Haut du Ruisseau; four brothers, Donald (Denise) Gautreau of Memramcook East, Léonce (Lorraine) Gautreau of Pré-d’en-Haut, Normand (Alberte) Gautreau of Dieppe and Roger (Marielle) Gautreau of McGinley and by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, with the Funeral mass to be held at Notre Dame de l’Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d’en-Haut on Tuesday September 13 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
